Palmetto Family Council Gets $3 Million Abstinence Grant

The US Department of Health and Human Services has awarded a five-year, $3 million abstinence education grant to the Palmetto Family Council, a conservative group. President Oran Smith said PFC will raise matching funds and begin hiring employees for the new project, which will involve promoting abstinence until marriage on such social networking sites as Facebook and MySpace.
