Couples Group: This group is for HIV+ women and their HIV- partners. Meets in Santa Monica twice a month -- needs participants.

Mothers of AIDS Patients is a support group offering confidential counseling and emotional support to those who have or have had a family member or loved one with HIV/AIDS. Group meets the first and third Wednesday at Torrance Memorial Medical Center, 3330 Lomita Blv. Torrance, CA 90509, in Room M, Second Floor Outpatient Area (west side of hospital).

Free Food

Project Angel Food
Project Angel Food (PAF) prepares and delivers over 900 meals daily to men, women and children living with AIDS throughout Los Angeles County. These meals are hot, nutritious and prepared by professional chefs and volunteer assistants.

If you are a woman living with HIV/AIDS and disabled by HIV you may be eligible to receive a free delicious lunch daily from Project Angel Food. Our meals are delivered daily between 12:00pm-2:00pm by trained volunteers. There's no need to worry about your confidentiality, our trained volunteers deliver your meal in a Ralph's shopping bag and there is absolutely nothing that identifies them as Project Angel Food Volunteers or any association with an AIDS service agency. To get more information about starting services contact the Project Angel Food Client Hotline at 213.845.1810. Or you could have your meal delivered to Women Alive: Ask Aleece for more information.

Many of the other agencies have similar arrangements with Project Angel food. Also, WomensLink has a food bank for their clients. To sign up call: 310.419.8087.
