The Gay Pride PSA That Never Aired
June 14, 2010
"Gay Pride" is easily confused by our culture with lesser values -- having the perfect body, drink specials, and the almighty dance floor. It must be just as confusing for younger gay men today to find "the pride inside" as it was for me a generation ago. Anyway, that was on my mind when I created this video, a send-up of earnest public service announcements and a swipe at nightclub culture. Here's hoping your quest for real pride doesn't bear the cost of my own misspent youth.

June 10, 2010
New York City, N.Y. -- Words without Borders (WWB) magazine announces the line-up for Queer is the World/Word, a benefit hosted by Therapy Lounge and featuring RuPaul's Drag Race winner Bebe Zahara Benet, Lambda Literary Award winner Rakesh Satyal, and actor, author, poet, director, and music artist Emanuel Xavier.
Six Tips for Choosing Your HIV Doctor
May 18, 2010
I had to say goodbye to my doctor recently. I was moving out of state, and Dr. David Morris of Pride Medical Group in Atlanta had been nothing but a patient, supportive teacher to me. Over the years he's seen me through Hepatitis C, a few crystal meth drug relapses and three boyfriends. I love him and what he's done for me, and I hated the prospect of finding a replacement in Florida.
What It Feels Like for a Mom
April 28, 2010
This Mother's Day, my mother Anne King, 83, will be in Michigan spending the holiday with her own mother, who is turning 104 years old. My grandmother still lives alone, cooks her own meals and will give you an earful if you have the time. Please God, bless me with one tiny scrap of the health genes you have granted these amazing women.
My AIDS Crisis Is Over
April 7, 2010
The recent South Florida AIDS Walk was the first I've attended in a while. In this episode of my video blog, I take you with me while I mull over some of my own outdated thinking about the "AIDS crisis." I also chat with Rep. Barney Frank (arguably the most powerful gay man in America) about gay men living in a post-crisis world.
March 16, 2010
I recently made the move from my beloved Atlanta back to Fort Lauderdale, and it's been tough saying goodbye to my friends, my doctor and my support system. And the physical act of moving is hard. I've had to decide what is worth keeping and what to finally give up.
The Real Poz Guys of Atlanta
February 23, 2010
Antron, James, Eric and Craig stopped by to help make my infamous brownies, and (thanks to my best friend Charles on camera) our evening is well documented in this intimate episode. Topics included sex and online cruising, doctors, and what they really think of the messages you post about them in the comments section!

Serosorting and Sex Clubs
January 4, 2010
When I was sleeping around, I gladly shared my HIV status because I preferred other poz partners. It meant less anxiety and probably unprotected sex, which I preferred. While my sex partner count has been reduced to 1 these days, it turns out my former sexual strategy has a name: serosorting. Seeking out partners who share your HIV status.
