U.S. News California: AIDS Walk Saturday at Lake MerrittSeptember 5, 2008 The fourth annual East Bay AIDS Walk steps off Saturday at 10 a.m. near the bandstand at Lakeside Park at Lake Merritt in Oakland. All funds raised go directly to nonprofits in Alameda and Contra Costa counties. Last year's walk attracted about 400 participants who raised more than $53,000.
