Bring Out Your Creative Talent!
By Catherine Elliott-Lopez
Hi Friends! Here we are in the midst of the Holiday season again. Do you feel creative? Would you like to do something fun on your Saturday afternoons? We would like to invite you to participate in the Women's Arts & Crafts Support Group.
This is an exciting way to take your mind off the daily grind of life, and spend an enjoyable afternoon with other women. This is not your typical Support Group, sometimes we talk about HIV, and sometimes we talk about everything else but HIV. Every week we do a new project. Some of our prior creations have included: silk flower wreaths, hand painted sun-catchers, candle holders, iron on applique aprons, jewelry, refrigerator magnets, and more!
Special projects are planned for the Holidays! Would you like to make gifts for friends or family? Please feel free to join us. We meet every Saturday afternoon from 2 to 4pm at 1566 S. Burnside Ave. in Los Angeles. This group is open to all women living with HIV/AIDS and is free of charge. Refreshments are served and transportation is available. Childcare can be arranged with prior notice. For more information please call Aleece or Cathy at 323-965-1564. See you Saturday!
