Vermont: Proceeds of New Ben & Jerry's Ice Cream to Benefit Elton John AIDS Foundation
July 18, 2008
In honor of Elton John's first-ever Vermont performance on July 21, Burlington-based ice cream maker Ben & Jerry's has whipped up a flavor honoring him. "Goodbye Yellow Brickle Road," a limited-batch chocolate ice cream, is a take-off on John's 1970s album and song "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road." It will be available from July 18 to July 25 in the company's scoop shops, with proceeds going to the Elton John AIDS Foundation, officials said Tuesday.
