U.S. News Alabama: Community AIDS Summit Takes Place in BirminghamJuly 14, 2008 The two-day Community AIDS Summit will be held in Birmingham on Tuesday and Wednesday at the Doubletree Hotel, 2000 University Blvd. Sponsored by AIDS Alabama, the meeting will feature a panel of AIDS experts who will share their knowledge concerning HIV-related community health education, cultural perspectives, psychological and social support services, and clinical assessment. A special focus of the summit will be priority populations at highest risk of HIV infection in the state. Registration is $80.
