Fergie's Lip Service Serves Charity Well; MAC's AIDS Campaign to Benefit
February 8, 2008
The cosmetics company MAC has named singer Fergie, of the group Glamorous, as the newest spokesperson for its Viva Glam HIV/AIDS campaign. Fergie joins Dita Von Teese and Eve, who are already spokespersons for the effort. Fergie said she looks forward to educating the teens and young adults who make up most of her fan base. "They're going for one demographic, and I think I can be very helpful with that. I know certain people who are very proud of having unprotected sex and the fact that they haven't caught anything yet." Since 1994, Viva Glam has raised more than $100 million to fight HIV/AIDS.
