January 10, 2008

An $87,100 grant will help Meridian Services Inc. provide housing assistance to people living with AIDS in Mahoning, Trumbull, Columbiana, Jefferson, and Astabula counties. The funding, which is being supplied by the Ohio Department of Development's Housing Opportunities for Persons with AIDS program, will help Meridian provide rental, mortgage, utility, and support services. In addition to housing assistance and help for families facing issues of mental health and substance abuse, Meridian offers prevention programs for all the schools in Mahoning County, according to CEO Larry Moliterno.
