Figures from the National Health Inspectorate show Estonia logged 619 new HIV cases from Jan. 1 and Dec. 21 of this year. Of these, 367 were men and 252 women. Most of the new cases were diagnosed among people ages 20-29. Sixty-one new diagnoses were made in inmates. In a breakdown by month, October had the most new cases with 63, while the fewest number of cases, 27, were detected in December.
