One-Third of Philippine HIV Patients Are Overseas Filipino Workers: Report

One out of every three Filipinos with HIV is an overseas worker, according to a recent government report. The study by the Philippine Department of Health said most of these are believed to be sailors or domestic workers. Overseas workers account for 35 percent of the Philippine HIV cases reported since 1984 and 42 percent of new HIV cases, the report said.
