Terri L. Wilder, L.M.S.W.
Terri L. Wilder is a licensed social worker who has worked in HIV patient services for the past 17 years. She has presented information on HIV both locally and nationally, having presented at both the United States Conference on AIDS and the National Social Worker and AIDS Conference. She is an active community advocate who devotes a lot of time to lobbying on behalf of persons living with HIV/AIDS. In her home state of Georgia, Wilder has lobbied to expand the AIDS Drug Assistance Program. Her lobbying efforts have also taken her to Washington, D.C., to advocate for the re-authorization of the Ryan White CARE Act. Many of her articles on HIV can be found in AIDS Survival Project's Survival News, The Body's Web site, as well as Project Inform's Web site. She is currently the Chair of the Georgia Campaign for Microbicides, a volunteer with the Hope Clinic of Emory University, and a doctoral student at Georgia State University Department of Sociology.
