Greg Lamb and Dan Durbin

Greg and Dan have been partners since November 1997. They live together in Minneapolis.

Greg Lamb (the one on the right in the image) is 51 years old and has both HIV and hepatitis C.
HIV diagnosis: 1984
Hepatitis C diagnosis: 1993
HIV medications: Sustiva (efavirenz) and Truvada (tenofovir/FTC)
CD4 count: 430
Viral load: undetectable
From March 2006 until February 2007, Greg took the hepatitis C treatment Pegasys (peginterferon alfa-2a). During this time, he also took Epogen (epoetin alfa) and Neupogen (filgrastim) to help keep his blood healthy. The hepatitis C treatment was not successful. He's presently off hepatitis C treatment and is waiting for the next generation of hepatitis C treatment.

Dan Durbin is 50 years old and is HIV positive.

HIV medications: Sustiva and Truvada
CD4 count: 428
Viral load: undetectable

Greg and Dan's message to others living with HIV/AIDS and/or hepatitis C:
"Try to keep in mind that stress is probably the second biggest influence on your health to be avoided. The number one greatest influence on your health (emotionally and physically) is your personal happiness, which will give you the power to overcome or live with any adverse causes. The world will not end until it is your time. Meanwhile, live as well as can be, for as long as can be. Don't allow life's gratifications to go without notice."
