U.S. News Maryland: Grant for HIV Testing Spreads State's ReachSeptember 25, 2007 A new $2.7 million grant from CDC, announced Monday by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene, will help triple the number of HIV tests performed on African Americans in the state. The money will be used to develop new testing programs for persons who do not access conventional testing and counseling programs.
