Australian League Players Spread HIV/AIDS Message in Papua New Guinea

September 25, 2007

This past weekend, several top players from the Australian rugby league visited Papua New Guinea to compete in the prime minister's invitational match and to speak out against AIDS and violence against women. "I think it's important to talk about sex, to talk about relationships, that we treat women right," said coach Mal Meniga, adding, "It's up to the people here ... to make sure they do the right thing." The outreach is supported by AusAID.
