Viral Load Testing: Free Baseline Tests
Offered from June 17 - August 17, 1996

On June 3, 1996, the FDA approved the Hoffman-LaRoche
Amplicor HIV-1 Monitor load test. This test uses PCR technology
and has a threshold of detection of 200 copies/ml.
The Hoffman-LaRoche offer is for two free baseline tests
for all persons with HIV infection in the U.S.
The offer is for the 60-day period
from June 17 to August 17, 1996.
