Report from the 4th Conference on Retroviruses and Opportunistic Infections

Many abstracts on opportunistic infections presented at this conference were "traditional" reports concerning new therapeutic data. There was also information presented on the natural history of opportunistic infections in the current era of highly potent antiretroviral therapy as well as the impact of opportunistic infections on viral load.
