"ALIVE ON PROTEASE"
A peer facilitated rap session. Get together and share your experience with
the new drugs/protease inhibitors. Talk to other women about their
experience with the new medications. Are they working for you? Have they
stopped working? Should I start taking them, should I wait? What other
choices do I have? Talk to others who share your hopes and fears in a safe
and completely confidential setting. If you want to find out more about the
new and upcoming treatmentss to fight HIV disease, this group is for you!
Every Monday Night from 6:00p - 7:30p. All women with HIV/AIDS are welcome,

PEER SUPPORT
Support group for women with HIV/AIDS. Talk to the real experts who know what
you are going through. Spanish/English support group. This is a safe place

SUPPORT FOR PARENTS
Mothers of AIDS Patients is a support group offering confidential counseling
and emotional support to those who have or have had a family member or loved
one with HIV/AIDS. Group meets the first and third Wednesday at Torrance
Memorial Medical Center, 3330 Lomita Blv. Torrance, CA 90509, in Room M,
Second Floor Outpatient Area (west side of hospital).
EAST L.A. MOTHERS
If you are a mother who has a son, daughter or family member with HIV or
AIDS; or if you are a woman who is infected with HIV, you are not alone.

WOMEN ALIVE
Women Alive is a membership network by and for women with HIV/AIDS. We offer
support groups, a variety of social activities, AIDS treatment information
programs, a necessities canteen with free drugstore products, an HIV doctor
referral service, acupuncture & massage, special events and outings, and
this newsletter. Incentive payments are given to women with HIV/AIDS who
complete a one day training and commit to volunteer on our national Peer

WAR is a support network for women with HIV/AIDS .They provide assistance to
women and their families, a variety of support groups, and can often help out
