The New 5p21January 1997 I AM A PATIENT AT 5P21. I want to tell others who may have stopped going
there that the conditions have greatly improved. Check it out yourself. Since
5p21 has moved to Mission and Zonal, the facility is much more appealing. The
attitudes of the staff are very friendly. This is a major change from before.
The waiting rooms and examining rooms are pleasant and clean. Snacks are
plentiful and served in a more personal manner.
Bonnie, the x-ray technician is back. She always has a smile for us. Fred, that draws blood, is only there sometimes because he is needed in other parts of the hospital. But I think he should stay put at 5p21, because we really like him. Maybe we could write a letter to make sure that we keep him every day instead of only once in a while. Debbie Johnson, Chuck and Carol, are their usual cheerful selves: this is something that hasn't changed. The pharmacy is across the street. The staff at the pharmacy, is entirely different than before. Now, they actually take the time with each person to explain what each medication is for and the best way to take it. The best part is that on Tuesday night when I went to pick up my prescriptions, they were ready when I arrived. This was a nice surprise. This article was provided by Women Alive.
