International News Myanmar Dissidents Report Pro-Democracy Activists Released From DetentionJune 29, 2007 An opposition spokesperson confirmed Thursday that at least 47 of 52 activists arrested in separate incidents in May were freed Wednesday night. Phyu Phyu Thin, however, was not set free. The AIDS advocate, who was taken by police from her home on May 21, has reportedly been on a hunger strike and is not well. "Phyu Phyu Thin was not among those released last night, apparently because she was still weak after the hunger strike. We are worried about her and demand that she be released," said Myint Thein of the National League for Democracy.
