"Girl, Positive" Puts Face on HIV Crisis

A new movie airing Monday night on Lifetime looks at the impact of HIV/AIDS on the life of a teenage girl. In "Girl, Positive," Andrea Bowen portrays a young woman who learns that a boy with whom she once had unprotected sex has died. Her world is rocked after she receives an anonymous e-mail claiming the boy had been an HIV-positive intravenous drug user. Jennie Garth plays a substitute teacher who is secretly HIV-positive, and S. Epatha Merkerson appears as an AIDS clinic worker. The movie begins at 9 p.m. Eastern and Pacific times and at 8 p.m. Central time.
