Austria: Former U.S. President Clinton Gets $1 Million to Fight AIDS

May 25, 2007

On Thursday night in Vienna, former US President Bill Clinton accepted a check for $1 million to benefit his Clinton Foundation's fight against AIDS. The money was a gift of Gerry Kessler, organizer of the Life Ball AIDS fundraiser, which takes place in Vienna on Saturday night. "I'm very grateful for this money," Clinton said. "It will be used to save lives in poor countries around the world."
