Rep. Maurice D. Hinchey (D-NY) is circulating a letter requesting a $233 million increase in funding for the AIDS Drug Assistance Program (ADAP). The much-needed funds will help the program provide expensive HIV medications and treatments to people who can't afford them. The increase will also eliminate the dangerous waiting lists that many states have created due to the lack of funds.
