Michael Shernoff, MSW is a psychotherapist and author in Manhattan who is also adjunct faculty at Hunter College Graduate School of Social Work. He edited: Counseling Chemically Dependant People With HIV Illness; Human Services for Gay People: Clinical and Community Practice; and coedited (with Walt Odets) The Second Decade of AIDS: A Mental Health Practice Handbook. Recent anthologies are: Gay Widowers: Life After the Death of a Partner, published in December, 1997 by Haworth Press, and AIDS and Mental Health Practice: Clinical and Policy Issues, published in February, 1999 also by Haworth Press.
