Kathleen E. Squires, M.D.
Dr. Squires is an associate professor of Medicine at the University of Southern California's Keck School of Medicine and the Medical Director at the Rand Schrader Clinic of the LAC+USC Medical Center. Previously, she taught in the Department of Medicine/Infectious Diseases at the University of Alabama at Birmingham and served as the Director of Women's Activities at the 1917 clinic, the UAB AIDS Outpatient Clinic. For over seven years, she was also an associate scientist at the Center for AIDS Research at UAB. Dr. Squires received her M.D. from the Medical College of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, where she also completed her residency. Her postdoctoral training included a fellowship in the Division of Infectious Diseases at The New York Hospital, Cornell University Medical College. Dr. Squires is board certified in Internal Medicine and Infectious Diseases. Currently serving as the chair of the American Medical Association's Graduate Medical Education Advisory Committee, Dr. Squires is also member of an Infectious Diseases Committee with the American College of Physicians. She has been a part of numerous professional societies, including the American Federation for Clinical Research and the Infectious Disease Society of America. Dr. Squires consults for many pharmaceutical companies involved in the research and development of agents to treat HIV/AIDS, including Bristol-Meyers Squibb, Boehringer Ingelheim (Roxane Laboratories), Merck & Co., Inc., and Pfizer. As well, she is actively involved with scientific journal review with the following publications: Annals of Internal Medicine, New England Journal of Medicine, and American Journal of Medicine. |
