Carol Salisbury, A.P.R.N.-B.C., M.S.N.

Carol Salisbury, APRN-BC, MSN
Ms. Salisbury is a clinical instructor at the Michigan State University College of Nursing and a nurse practitioner specializing in infectious diseases. She received her master's degree in nursing as a family nurse practitioner from Michigan State University in 2003; since then, she has frequently given talks to local health officials, health care workers, support groups and students on topics related to HIV and hepatitis pathophysiology, prevention and treatment.

As a nurse practitioner, Ms. Salisbury has been providing primary care to chronically ill patients since 1995. She holds particular expertise in HIV, women's health issues, as well as issues related to cardiovascular complications, diabetes and hyperlipidemia. Ms. Salisbury is a member of the Association of Nurses in AIDS Care, the American Academy of HIV Medicine and the Michigan Chapter of Nurse Practitioners, and is board certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center.
