Anne Donnelly
Anne Donnelly is the Director of Public Policy for Project Inform, one of the United State's most influential community based HIV treatment information and advocacy organizations. Project Inform's mission is to provide information, inspiration and advocacy for people living with HIV, their family, friends and caregivers. Anne joined Project Inform in 1989 and directs Project Inform's policy initiatives, advocacy efforts and community organizing. She also coordinates Project Access, which works to educate Project Inform hotline volunteers regarding issues of access to treatment and healthcare and link PI hotline callers to services that support access to treatment and healthcare throughout the United States. Anne Donnelly co-founded the Treatment Action Network (TAN). TAN is one of the most effective and largest grassroots networks lobbying on HIV/AIDS issues. It focuses on access to HIV treatment and healthcare. Anne also directs Project Inform's participation in AIDSWATCH, the national constituent lobby days in Washington, DC. Project Inform's policy efforts have resulted in increased funding for HIV/AIDS programs, including the AIDS Drug Assistance Program. Additional work has included advocating for structural reform within the AIDS research program at the National Institutes of Health, protection against funding cuts in Medicaid, and expanding health care programs for people living with HIV. |
