New York: From Africa, a Song of Hope

January 3, 2007

The Watoto Children's Choir from Uganda, which is composed of 18 orphaned children, will perform this weekend at two Buffalo churches. The group's tour raises money for Watoto Child Care Ministries, which helps care for Ugandan children who have lost their parents to AIDS. The choir will perform Saturday at 7 p.m. at Victory Assembly of God, 688 Tonawanda St., and Sunday at 6 p.m. at Expressway Assembly of God, 260 Eggert Rd. Performances will also be given Friday at 7 p.m. at Wellsville Full Gospel Church, 2221 Hanover Hill Rd., Wellsville, and Sunday at 10:30 a.m. at Roberts Free Memorial Methodist Church, 111 South St., Cattaraugus. Admission is free.
