Alabama: Teen Forum in Dothan on HIV/AIDS Awareness

November 6, 2006

The Dothan Opera House will host the "Rap-It-Up" AIDS-prevention forum at 6:30 p.m. Thursday in Dothan. The event's sponsors are the Alabama Cooperative Extension System and the Black Entertainment Television network. A BET representative will moderate a panel discussion featuring students, AIDS activists, celebrities and a doctor. Delia Roberts, HIV/AIDS coordinator for the state Department of Public Health, will direct free HIV testing. More than 700 people are expected to attend, according to Rosalind James of the Extension System.
