California: Legion of Supporters Turns Out for AIDS Walk

October 31, 2006

Some 1,500 people came out for Saturday's 19th annual Desert AIDS Walk in Palm Springs. The event's goals were to raise AIDS awareness and money for the Desert AIDS Project. "These people walk for those who have passed on, for those who aren't able to walk for themselves, and for the 40,000 who will contract HIV this year," said David Brinkman, the organization's executive director.
