Washington, D.C.: The Great Outdoors

October 5, 2006

This Saturday, the 5K AIDS Walk Washington will begin at 9:30 a.m. at Freedom Plaza (14th Street and Pennsylvania Avenue, NW). The annual fundraiser for Whitman-Walker Clinic's HIV/AIDS services will feature the Gay Men's Chorus of Washington singing the national anthem. Walkers can register at www.aidswalkwashington.org or by arriving at the event by about 7 a.m. Sat., when last-minute entries will be taken at the Warner Building at 12th and E streets NW. Registration is free, but donations are encouraged. For more information, telephone 202-797-3520.
