Voices with a Message: Peer Support and Treatment Information Hotline
Our peer support hot line is operated by women volunteers, who are themselves, living with HIV/AIDS. Volunteers offer peer to peer support to women callers from across the nation. Treatment information is available upon request and a peer Treatment Educator is ready to talk about your treatment concerns. Monday, Wednesday and Friday 11am to 6pm.

Marilyn Howell Memorial HIV Center for Women

Back by popular demand HIV University classes are now being offered in English and Spanish, call now for class schedules.
Young Women's Group
A new support and educational group in the Long Beach area for women under 30 years of age. Every 2nd and 4th Thursday 5:00 to 7:00p.m. For more information call Brenda. 323.965.1564.
Become a Promotora
If you are interested in becoming a community educator, sign up for the training. Learn HIV/AIDS prevention information and share it with others. Completion certificates are awarded at the end of the training. Stipends are provided for those who train others in their own neighborhoods. Agency requests are welcomed. Call Brenda at 323.965.1564.
Promotoras are educators. For this project they are HIV educators.
Peer Support Training
Become a Trained Peer Supporter: The HotLine/Peer training is scheduled for June/July, 2001. Completion certificates are awarded and stipends are provided for those who provide peer-to-peer support on the national HotLine/back to the workforce project: "Voices with a Message." To enroll in the training and participate as a peer, call Ana 1.800.554.4876.
