WHAT: Later this week, 700,000 Americans will converge on Washington, D.C., for the display of the 40,000-panel AIDS Memorial Quilt. AIDS Action Foundation and the AIDS Memorial Quilt's sponsoring organization, The NAMES Project Foundation, will provide display attendees with the opportunity to sign pledge cards letting presidential candidates know how important presidential leadership on AIDS is to American voters. Clinton-Gore '96 and Dole-Kemp '96 spokespersons have been invited to formally accept thousands of pledge cards on behalf of President Bill Clinton and Senator Robert Dole at a press conference sponsored by AIDS Action Foundation and The NAMES Project Foundation.
