The 2005-2006 Credentialing Kit Coming Soon

This May, the Academy will mail out the 2005-2006 credentialing kit for obtaining the AAHIVM HIV Specialist^TM designation. This kit will be sent automatically to all Academy members and other HIV care providers who are currently not credentialed. If you are currently credentialed as an AAHIVM HIV Specialist^TM, please refer to the chart below to see if you need to renew. Renewal kits can be requested by calling the Academy toll-free at 866-241-9601.

Individuals who meet the requirements for the 2005-2006 kit will be credentialed through December 31, 2006.

The Academy's credentialing process is open to, and inclusive of, all current frontline HIV health care providers. It has always been a part of the Academy's mission to lower entry barriers into the field of HIV heath care. To this end, the Academy continues to keep its credentialing process accessible by offering it as a free service.

In addition, the Academy requires renewal every two years to ensure that care providers maintain up-to-date knowledge in the ever-changing arena of HIV care. In this way the Academy continues to fulfill its commitment to supporting health care providers in HIV medicine and to ensuring better care for those living with AIDS and HIV disease.
