Welcome to the first issue of the Affording Care Bulletin (replacing and expanding upon the Advisor's Insurance Digest). This bulletin is the first publication in the nation to focus on the full-range of financial issues that confront both people living with serious illness or injury and the professionals who serve them. These "technical assistance" reports are brought to you by Affording Care, a nonprofit organization which serves as the national financial education and information center for serious illness.

Affording Care believes that learning about your personal finances can be very empowering if you are seriously-ill. The financial strategies we provide can mean more control over your life and more options about your care, which in turn can mean a longer and better life.

Whether you are a person living with serious illness, or a professional who works with the seriously-ill, you will find much to read and use in each issue of The Bulletin.

We don't charge a subscription fee -- The Bulletin only asks you to be an active participant in the publication. If you are seriously-ill, tell us the financial problems you need to solve.
