December 1997 OverviewThe concept of a core collection may be unfamiliar to readers. It is based on the idea that certain books, video and magazines make up the "core" of information about a certain topic. The following listings provide an overview of the various components needed for a core collection of HIV/AIDS information. Material included is intended for the largest possible audience. Some material for specific audiences is included. It is important to remember this is not intended to provide a comprehensive overview. AIDS information published before 1990 should be considered retrospective in nature and for that reason is not included in this listing.
