HIV Concerns Raised at Forum

December 2001/January 2002

About 80 people provided feedback on housing, HIV/AIDS prevention education, getting back to work and other issues at an October 2 forum at the Precious Blood Church in Los Angeles.

Present at the forum to respond to participants' concerns were officials from Governor Davis' office and the Los Angeles County Office of AIDS Programs and Policy.

The forum was hosted by the California HIV Advocacy Coalition/Southern California Region (CHAC/SoCal), a statewide grassroots alliance of organizations and individuals concerned with HIV/AIDS issues.

CHAC/SoCal holds quarterly evening general meetings and has monthly daytime Working Group meetings. For information, contact CHAC/SoCal Secretary Rick Louis at (213) 201-1378, or by e-mail at
