The 12th National AIDS Update Conference, now organized by amfAR (the American Foundation for AIDS Research), will be held March 14-17 at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco. Complete information is available at http://www.nauc.org.
"The National AIDS Update Conference is designed for HIV/AIDS education and treatment experts, HIV/AIDS advocates, and people living with the disease. The conference aims to increase awareness of the newest options in battling the epidemic and to ensure that people with HIV/AIDS have access to the latest information on treatment and care. More than 2,000 participants are expected at this year's meeting." Nationally prominent speakers include Sandra Thurman, Director of the White House Office of National AIDS Policy, and Jay Levy, M.D., at the University of California San Francisco School of Medicine. Greg Louganis will attend the reception.
