Gingerbread Dreams

May 1999

Gingerbread dreams encase
A melancholy afternoon
I walk along a weeping
Sunbleached fence
And fade into an
Icy stolen field
My eyes dripping honey
At the tangerine sky
Star-crested lights hum
In the distance
Trusting spontaneity
To transform me
I am aware of
Passionate spirit creativity
The willingness of
Imagination to flow
Into a metamorphosis of
Inner child
Enhanced in butterfly flight
Gingerbread dreams must dance
Across a feminine
Harmony of soul
