New video to help parents affected by HIV/AIDS

Mothers with HIV: The Journey, a new video to help improve the quality of life of families affected by HIV and AIDS, is now available. The video was produced by the Women's HIV/AIDS Consortium (a group of Minnesota service providers and community members).

Mothers with HIV: The Journey provides insight into the lives of ten women who are infected with HIV -- how their lives and their families have been affected by the legal decisions they are making to protect the future of their children. The Consortium recommends "Because You Love Them: A Parent's Planning Guide" be used with the video.

The video and guide are available through the American Red Cross of the St. Paul Area, 612.291.3860. The cost of the video is $15.00; a set comprised of both the video and parent planning guide is available for $20.00.

"A Guide to Managed Care for Women Living with HIV/AIDS"

This guide, created for women living with HIV/AIDS and their service providers explains issues related to managed care including how to choose a health care provider and health plan.
