News Briefs India: Condom Vending Machines to Be Set Up in Delhi Public ToiletsMarch 28, 2003 Vending machines dispensing condoms and oral contraceptives will be set up in public toilets by the Delhi city, India, administration. The machines will be installed on an experimental basis at 10 toilet blocks initially and, if successful, will be established in other toilets. It is hoped that Indians too shy to go to a pharmacy and ask for contraceptives will utilize the vending machines in the toilets. The program is to be launched within a month.
