Michigan: Teen With AIDS Arrested After Failing to Inform Partners of DiseaseMarch 7, 2003 A 17-year-old is charged with a felony for allegedly having
unprotected sex with a man without telling him she has AIDS.
Amber Jo Sours was charged after Coldwater, Mich., police
identified four men who claimed to have sex with her without
being informed she had AIDS. "We had contacted the [Tri-County]
health department. They were looking at her too, and this is just

times from September through December. He wrote to prosecutor

she had leukemia. Sours is being held in the Branch County Jail
on a $500,000 bond. A preliminary examination was set for March
13 and a mental health evaluation has been ordered.
