News Briefs Nigerian Red Cross Launches Stamps to Support AIDS CampaignMay 12, 2003 On May 8 -- World Red Cross Day -- the Nigerian Red Cross launched two HIV/AIDS commemorative postage stamps to support its campaign against the spread of the disease. The stamps, which carry the inscriptions "Caring for AIDS Victims" and "AIDS is Real" were launched "to strengthen the campaign for the spread of the truth about AIDS by sensitizing and enlightening the public," according to an official statement.
