News Briefs Arizona: Free TB Testing Offered to 160 at Coronado HighMay 14, 2003 The 160 students and seven adults at Coronado High School who were exposed to a classmate with infectious tuberculosis were offered a free skin test Tuesday at the Arizona school. "They gave us pretty good information about it -- what the symptoms would be and how to catch it," said Meagan Koury, a freshman, who was not exposed to tuberculosis. Letters went home last week to inform parents after a student was found to have active TB May 2. Maricopa County gets about 174 cases of TB a year, and one or two of those are at a school, said Doug Hauth of the county's Department of Public Health.
