Federal Housing Agency Delivers More Than $60 Million to Massachusetts

Massachusetts will get more than $60 million from the Department of Housing and Urban Development to build affordable homes and assist the homeless and people with HIV/AIDS. The largest portion of the grant, $39.8 million, is a community development block grant that allows state and local governments to rehabilitate affordable housing or provide business opportunities for lower income families and neighborhoods. The allocation includes a $1.1 million grant designed to provide rental assistance and support services to people with HIV/AIDS.
