Minnesota: Teen Group Takes AIDS Message to Peers

St. Cloud's fourth annual AIDS Walk is being held Saturday, May 3, at Riverside Park. Money raised will go to American Red Cross' Fighting AIDS Through Education, a group of teens who go to area schools to talk about HIV/AIDS. FATE started in the Twin Cities about seven years ago, said Susie Wistrom, HIV/AIDS coordinator for the Central Minnesota American Red Cross. She said FATE has a two-fold purpose: to educate people about HIV/AIDS and prevention, and to debunk stereotypes about people with the disease. For more information, telephone 320-251-7641.
