New Anti-HIV Drug Available for People With Viral Load Over 10,000 While on Drug Therapy

August 2002

Roche and Trimeris are drug companies working together to develop the first entry inhibitor called Fuseon (enfuvirtide). The companies announced there will be a small amount of drug available to people who have no other treatment options.

When the companies finish building a manufacturing plant there will be lots of T-20 available. Until then they are making some of the medicine available to people over 16 years old, with viral load over 10,000 while on their drug therapy.

If you want a chance to get some of this new medicine, have your doctor visit the website www.T20EAP.com to apply for participation in the program. You can apply for the drug now, but it won't be available until early October 2002.

So far, in clinical trials, T-20 (Fuzeon) is showing it is a very powerful antiviral.
