California: Kaiser Awards AIDS Agency Grants

December 13, 2004

Four Sacramento-area nonprofits that provide services to people with HIV/AIDS received a total of $25,000 in grants from Kaiser Permanente. AIDS Housing Alliance, which works to prevent homelessness among people with HIV/AIDS; Breaking Barriers, which assists with HIV prevention and diagnoses; Harm Reduction Services, which provides health care to people at risk for acquiring HIV; and Sunburst Projects, which works with the children and families of people living with HIV/AIDS, will receive the grants. Kaiser Permanente has given more than $3.5 million to California nonprofits that focus on HIV/AIDS since 1989.
