International News Japan to Help Zimbabwe, Swaziland Fight AIDSJanuary 5, 2004 Japan's foreign ministry announced today that the nation will provide $2.15 million to a UN fund to help Zimbabwe and Swaziland fight the spread of AIDS. Just over $1 million will go to a Zimbabwe program to teach life skills to children with HIV and for seminars to increase AIDS awareness among young people. A Swaziland project to prevent mother-to-baby HIV transmission will also receive just over $1 million, the ministry said.
