Agassi, Roddick to Play AIDS Charity Match

July 22, 2004

Tennis pros Andre Agassi and Andy Roddick have signed up to play an exhibition match for Elton John's AIDS charity in October at the University of California-Irvine. John and Billie Jean King will host the 12th annual World Team Tennis All-Star Smash Hits on Oct. 11 at the Bren Center. John and King will captain two teams of top men and women pros, and they will also play a celebrity doubles match to open the event. The money will benefit the Elton John AIDS Foundation and the National AIDS Fund. Organizers expect to raise more than $1 million for the two groups.
